On 16 June, Global New Material International (06616.HK) announced that Surface Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of the Group and a company incorporated in Malaysia, has formally established and

registered a branch office in India on 1 June 2026. This marks a critical step for GNMI’s strategic expansion in the APEC region. Based on its in-house team, comprehensive organizational structure, and direct and close ties with customers, SUSONITY, a premium materials brand of the Group will deep dive into this emerging market with growth potentials, further promote regional layout of the Group and enhance its competitive edges.

The India branch adopts a dual-city strategy:

▲The main business address is K. Raheja Platinum Business Center, Andheri (E), Mumbai. As the financial and commercial capital of India, Mumbai is home to regional headquarters and decision-making centers of core downstream industries, such as automobile, industrial coating and cosmetics.

▲The secondary business address is on Park Street, Kolkata. Kolkata is close to natural mica mines in Eastern India, where the world’s largest natural mica reserves are located.

The dual-city structure combining “commercial fronts + resource backends” enables SUSONITY to deliver in parallel highly efficient customer response and in-depth management of supply chain.

The India branch office has assembled a professional team covering core functions including business development, supply chain management, raw material procurement, quality control, and regulatory compliance. The business team members have an average of over ten years of industry experience in the Indian market, serving clients in automotive, industrial, and cosmetics sectors directly as techno-commercial partners.

Core Management Team:

• Nitin Galais Managing Director of the India branch office and also serves as the Head of Commercial Sales for India. He brings 25 years of industry experience, 18 of which in pearlescent pigments, spanning product management, key account management, and sales leadership roles. “Growth has never been something occasional, but the result of synergies of multiple sides. Our journey of bringing uniqueness to all surfaces will continue. Starting from here, we will be stronger,” said Gala.
• Sushma Jenifer Fernandesis Gneral Manager of the India branch office and Manager Regulatory Affairs, with a focus on REACH registration and regulatory compliance for the European region. She played a central role in the entire process of establishing the India branch. She has a Master’s degree in Chemistry and over 14 years of professional experience in regulatory compliance, REACH registration and quality management. She said: “It is an important milestone for the team and the organization as a whole to witness the transformation of the independent India branch office from a vision to reality. GNMI subsidiaries, namely Chesir, CQV and SUSONITY, are members of the Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI), an international multilateral alliance working to ensure responsible sourcing and fair working conditions throughout global mica supply chain.

Eastern India is home to the world’s largest natural mica mines. Compliance and sustainability of supply chain here has been highly concerned by the international community. Establishment of the India branch office enables GNMI to:
