While making steady progress in various global operations, the Japanese and German teams of Global New Material International have achieved a number of highlights in the past week. In terms of plant operations, team building, quality systems, and interactions with local communities, it demonstrated the maturity and resilience of the group’s global layout.

Onahama plant in Japan: a warm manufacturing site

  1. Collaboration with local universities to supportindustrial talentgrowth

In late October, the Onahama plant welcomed four second-year high school students from Belai Industrial High School for a three-day internship experience. From learning about factory safety procedures to hands-on practice, the students showed great interest in the new materials industry.

Upon completing the internship, one of the students said, “I want to work in a factory like this in the future.”

The statement revealed a good evaluation of on-site management, safety atmosphere and team culture.

  1.  Retirementof an employeeafter serving 37 years: a stable team

The Onahama plant held a retirement luncheon for Yasutoshi Nagase, a senior colleague.

He had worked at Onahama plant for 37 years. Many employees came to see him off, and the atmosphere was warm and sincere.

A stable and well-established team is an important foundation for the continuous high-quality output of advanced manufacturing.

Gernsheim plant in Germany: well-managed, mature quality system

1.The election of the workers’ committee completed smoothly

The German team successfully completed the workers’ committee election, with a participation rate of 60.7%, demonstrating a mature governance structure and team engagement. In cross-regional operations, this transparent and orderly governance mechanism is an important element for maintaining the long-term and stable plant operation.

2.Halal certification obtained successfully

This week, SUSONITY ‘Gernsheim plant in Germany successfully obtained HQC’s Halal certification without any non-conformities raised by the audit body (zero findings).

The audit covered multiple product lines including food-grade additives (such as Candurine) and cosmetic raw materials (such as Colorona, Xirona).

The “zero findings” audit results represented the team’s solid foundation in quality systems, standard implementation, safety compliance, and also reflected the reliability and professionalism of the plant’s operations.

3.Global team collaboration deepened and integration results continued to emerge

From Japan to Germany, the spirit and execution demonstrated by teams in various places reflected the steady progress of cultural integration after mergers and acquisitions:

  • Retirement of long-serving employees reflects respect and the passing on of traditions.
  • Internships by high school students reflect the company’s positive image in the community.
  • Governance engagement of German team reflect organizational maturity.
  • Productsobtaininternational system certification, reflecting high-quality plant management.

This cross-cultural collaboration, institutionalized management and on-site execution are the core forces in building a global manufacturing system.

This week’s multiple developments from Japan and Germany not only showcased GNMI’s robust operational capabilities in its global production network, but also reflected the value of team spirit, cultural power and long-term management.

In a complex global environment, these real front-line images formed the backdrop of the company’s steady progress.

Global New Material International will continue to promote high-quality development globally and create more value for partners, employees and society.
