【Company News】On September 27, 2025, the Fifth Congress and theme forum of the EMBA Alumni Association of Guangxi University was grandly held in Nanning. This congress was themed “Restarting”, gathering college leaders, experts and scholars, alumni entrepreneurs, and guests from all walks of life. They jointly witnessed the establishment of the new leadership team and the beginning of their mission. Mr. Suertian, Chairman and CEO of Global New Material International Holdings Limited (06616.HK), was elected as the Fifth President of the EMBA Alumni Association of Guangxi University with a high sense of responsibility and mission.

Speech on the Forum : Three Decades, A New Start

President Su Ertian recounted his growth journey over the “three decades” in a storytelling manner:

• First decade in rural area: Boldly exploring and trying, he refused to give up and changed his fate in the face of scarce resources;
• Seconddecadein county: Seizing the opportunities of reform and opening up, he devoted himself to road construction and industrial development, accumulating his first fortune and gaining integration experience;
• Third decadegoing public: Choosing transformation during the financial crisis, he entered the new materials industry, facilitating the successful listing of Chesir on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and successively completing cross-border mergers and acquisitions of Korean CQV and German Merck Surface Solutions business (Susonity).

He summarized the core spirit of an entrepreneur’s growth with one sentence:

“Going public is not the end, but the starting point for a new journey.”

Vision and Choice: Technology, Capital and Talent

During the speech, President Su Ertian, shared his three visions for future development:

• Technology-wise: “to survive, it depends onsales; to go further, itmust be technological breakthrough.”
• Capital-wise: “Capital is not just a financing tool; it’s also the strategic lifeline of the enterprise.”
• Talent-wise: “Technology and capital determine how big an enterprise can be; talent determines how far the enterprise can go.”

This is precisely the core logic behind Global New Material International’s continuous breakthroughs in the fierce global competition.

New Journey: School-Enterprise Cooperation, Steady Progress to the Future

As the new president of the EMBA Alumni Association of Guangxi University, Su Ertian proposed to rely on the “School-Enterprise Cooperation Platform 3.0” and deepen cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and industrial empowerment. He emphasized:

• There is no ceiling for new materials; fields such as new energy, aerospace, AI, automotive, and cosmetics all contain unlimited space;
• Globalization layout, through the dual capital platforms of the Hong Kong stock market and the future A-share market, as well as the R&D and production networks spread across Asia, Europe, and America, to promote the reshaping of the industrial chain;
• Social responsibility commitment, the development of enterprises should not only pursue economic benefits but also practice green manufacturing, ESG concepts, and actively participate in education funds and rural revitalization.

He emotionally said: “Each decade of mine has been a new start. The best years are always ahead of us!”

The election as the president of the EMBA Alumni Association of Guangxi University is not only a high recognition of Mr. Su Ertian by the alumni, but also a reaffirmation of the mission and responsibility of Global New Material International. In the future, GNMI will continue to uphold the development strategy of “New Materials + Innovation + All Scenarios”, and work together with alumni and the society to jointly create a brilliant new chapter for Chinese entrepreneurs and the new materials industry.
