On the afternoon of October 12, Yang Xiaofeng, Party Secretary of the Tonglu County CPC Committee, conducted a special inspection of the progress of key manufacturing projects in Tonglu. He visited the production workshop and corporate exhibition hall of Zhejiang Hongzun Technology Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of Global New Material International—to inspect the synthetic mica project firsthand, examine the project’s construction and production operations, and gain a detailed understanding of R&D investment, product applications, and market expansion.

Zhejiang Hongzun Technology is a key base for the research, development, and industrialization of synthetic mica under Global New Material International (Stock Code: 06616.HK). The project has a total planned annual production capacity of 100,000 metric tons. Since the start-up of production in February of this year, Hongzun has been steadily advancing capacity ramp-up, process optimization, and improvements in production operations. Once the project reaches full production capacity, it will further enhance the supply of high-quality synthetic mica, providing critical base material support for GNMI’s high-end pearlescent materials and cosmetic raw materials businesses, and helping Tonglu improve its new materials industrial chain.

The industrial value of synthetic mica lies not only in the quality and stable supply of the base material but also in its precision processing, functionalization, and the development of downstream applications. Leveraging GNMI’s technological expertise and industrial resources, Zhejiang Hongzun continues to advance material R&D and product innovation, driving the expansion of synthetic mica into high-value-added applications.

In June of this year, Global New Material International publicly announced that the “Development of Long-Wearing Cosmetic-Grade Synthetic Mica Powder” project—jointly completed by Zhejiang Hongzun Technology, Guangxi Chesir Pearl Materials Co., Ltd., and Luzhai Chesir Pearlescent Mica Materials Co., Ltd.—had passed the scientific and technological achievement evaluation conducted by the China Science and Technology Innovation (Beijing) Technology Achievement Evaluation Center. The project’s overall technology was rated as “domestically leading and internationally advanced.” This joint R&D achievement provides technical support for the application of synthetic mica in the field of high-end cosmetic raw materials and demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative innovation within GNMI.

During the inspection, Yang Xiaofeng encouraged Hongzun to deepen its commitment to the R&D and industrial application of synthetic mica, adhere to driving development through technological innovation, strengthen collaboration among industry, academia, research institutions, and end-users, focus on tackling key technological challenges and iterating product upgrades, continuously expand product application areas, and consistently enhance output efficiency and core market competitiveness.

Jin Zengqin, Executive Director and Vice President of Global New Material International, expressed gratitude for the long-standing care and support from the Tonglu County CPC Committee and County Government. He stated that Hongzun will continue to strengthen technological R&D, accelerate project construction and the ramp-up of production capacity, and coordinate efforts in process optimization, product upgrades, and market expansion. Hongzun aims to enhance product performance and application adaptability, steadily improve output efficiency, and contribute to the high-quality development of Tonglu’s manufacturing sector.

Looking ahead, Zhejiang Hongzun will be based in Tonglu and, drawing on Global New Material International’s global R&D, manufacturing, and market resources, will strengthen the integration between the preparation of basic materials and the development of high-end applications. We will promote the transformation of technological achievements into product advantages and industrial value, thereby providing support for the development of GNMI’s surface performance materials business and the construction of Tonglu’s new materials industry.

Zhang Suping and Wu Tao, Tonglu county government leaders, participated in the visit.
